Position Purpose:
We are seeking an eCommerce Fulfillment Manager for our Cranbury, NJ Distribution Center to plan, direct and manage the daily operation of the eCommerce department within the  distribution center through subordinate supervisors and front line associates to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment and shipment of petco.com customer orders. Incumbent will work closely with DC Operations, Manager of Omni Channel Fulfillment, Petco.com, Customer Relations, and Loss Prevention teams to ensure best in class customer experience.
 
 
Essential Job Functions:
Through previous background and experience, the candidate must demonstrate, with or without an accommodation, the ability to:
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with an emphasis on the Company's interests.
  • Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Analyze reporting metrics for eCommerce.
  • Effectively accomplish assigned duties/tasks through the work of subordinate supervisors.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and move merchandise up to 100 lbs. with appropriate support.
  • Operate computer equipment and other distribution center and e-commerce related equipment.
 
Supervisory Responsibility:
The nature of this position entails directly supervising ecommerce distribution center employees through subordinate level exempt level supervisor(s) to include interviewing, hiring, training, assignment delegation and follow through as well as periodic performance evaluation, disciplinary action and termination when necessary.
 
 
Work Environment:
While some job duties are performed while seated indoors, the majority of the time is spent in the distribution center, where exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes and noises should not be overlooked. The incumbent may also be required on occasion to work in the warehouse where there may also be risk of injury resulting from improper procedures.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED;  Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • 5 years distribution center/warehouse and eCommerce  experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of basic Distribution Center management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control policies.
  • At least 5 years of distribution center/warehouse experience is required.
