The Associate Manager is responsible for managing the day to day responsibilities for marketing signage, large format graphics, new store opening marketing, event graphics and barricades for Ann Taylor, LOFT, Lou & Grey, Ann Taylor Factory and Loft Outlet Store brands. This position will also support the Sr. Manager focusing on the development of custom 3D props for windows. This position will ensure projects are running on schedule, on budget and are meeting quality expectations. The ideal candidate must possess the following traits:

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
Work closely with Marketing and Visual teams to find effective, cost-efficient ways to produce their projects and realize their ideas
Triple-bid all projects to ensure we are getting the best value
Estimate all projects as needed by providing accurate specs and store distribution lists; obtain approval from stakeholders before proceeding
Be resourceful and creative in your approach to sourcing in order to offset any challenges
Prepare detailed schedules including all steps in the process from kickoff to final delivery
Research vendors to gain knowledge on who has the most efficient and quality equipment to produce a job at lowest cost
Research new printing processes and techniques in order to reduce costs and improve quality
Research print substrates that have lower costs and environmental benefits
Support the goals of Ascena’s procurement team, and adhere to and enforce Procurement Policy
Project Management / Creative Liaison
Develop and manage the prototyping process in a timely manner before rollout orders need to be placed, including writing up detailed specifications, requesting professional renderings, ordering drawdowns and material samples, etc
Once prototypes are approved, manage the production of the entire rollout to stores and consolidate shipping of items to maximize savings
Provide creative solutions to any problems that arise, and engage Sr. Director as needed to solve issues
Set up installation vendors, define scope of work and create call sheets; find solutions to any problems
Verify that all art files are set up properly and all color specifications are clearly marked and verified, and match final estimate
Communicate with vendors to confirm all specifications and artwork requirements and to make sure nothing is missed; communicate stakeholder feedback in a timely manner
Create and communicate production schedules for all jobs
Maintain signage distribution database for all rollout elements and store reorders
Update status reports and lead weekly meetings
Monitor and act on Service Channel requests for store feedback and requests
Operational and Managerial Duties
Drive operational improvements across brands and categories
Help train new members of Marketing and Visual teams to work with our processes
Supplier Development:
Work with vendors on a daily basis to ensure projects are produced properly
Continually challenge vendors to bring down costs and tighten up schedules in order to improve speed to market
Initiate kickoff meetings to share concepts, review schedules, and relay expectations with team and vendors on complex projects
Attend Quarterly Business Reviews with Vendors
Work with Manager to review program effectiveness and costs
Finance:
Oversee and maintain financial tracking reports and update budget owners on a weekly basis; communicate any overages in a timely manner
Create Purchase Orders prior to the release of a job to the vendor, and do a Goods Receipt in a timely manner so that invoices can be paid on time
Review invoices to make sure charges are consistent with PO’s
Review bids from contracted vendors to ensure contract pricing is being followed
Review bids from non-contract vendors to ensure best pricing is being achieved
Required Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of fabrication techniques and materials (wood, neon, rigid substrates, etc)
Knowledge of printing techniques (offset, large format digital printing, screenprinting, etc.)
Working knowledge of graphic programs and file requirements (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
Strong negotiating skills
Strong business acumen, and strong project manager
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Highest level of ethics and integrity
Minimum Educational Level:
Bachelor’s Degree (or comparable)
Minimum Experience:
• 2 - 4 plus years of professional experience in print production
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment.
