A role in Buying means being at the forefront of supporting the best in-store and online assortments for one of the country’s leading retailers. You’ll work with several diverse vendors to execute bringing the right mix of product to guests. You’ll manage the execution of a wide SKU count ensuring that your daily work is varied and develops you for a continued career within Merchandising. You’ll use business knowledge, creativity, and experience to make decisions that directly and positively impact both Target Guests and fellow team members.
As a Sr Merchandise Specialist supporting your assigned categories for in-store and online channels, you'll play an integral role in bringing product to our Guest by providing key executional support to both our merchandise buying and planning teams. You will support new vendor set-ups and maintain item and vendor data across a SKU intensive business. You will offer proactive and timely communication for the department by acting as the liaison between Import Operations, Transportation, Store Ops and Vendors via phone, email, and meetings. The Sr Merchandise Specialist assists with sample coordination. Additionally, you will problem solve issues with our supply chain partners to analyze and ensure product flows through our network.
