EDABI Operations Consultant

 

Summary:

Play a key role as an EDABI Agile Operations Consultant to help Target Enterprise Data, Analytics and BI teams and organization improve delivery, increase operational efficiency and drive improved outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Improve delivery as an embedded consultant

·        Embed with 1 to 3 teams for 3-6 month periods to drive implementation of agile practices and routines and help teams develop self-organizing habits

·        Play various roles as needed including providing individual contributions in addition to consulting

·        Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Define clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and measurements of success to enable clarity and focus
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and product discovery activities
  • Identify and implement tools and practices to help teams increase focus on customer
  • Plan and schedule work and track progress and outcomes using agile project management tools
  • Communicate priorities and timelines to customers and stakeholders
  • Change management and customer education programs

 

Drive improved outcomes through agile coaching and consulting

·        Serve as an expert on agile and product delivery practices and methods

·        Consult with teams to define Objectives and Key Results and communicate progress

·        Benchmark industry and leverage research/intelligence to build strategies for tracking and measuring progress  

·        Identify roadblocks and impediments and generate recommendations to improve effective team delivery

·        Partner across the enterprise to enable consistency and continuous improvement

 

Drive operational efficiencies

·        Define, implement and support lightweight processes and best practices that enable consistency when appropriate

·        Utilize facilitation to help teams work through change quickly and develop routines

·        Research industry trends to find and implement innovative and effective tools for distributed teams

·        Quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect with peers, team members and leaders

·        Drive work independently and play different roles on ambiguous projects

·        Strong sense of ownership, accountability and learning lessons from failures

·        Synthesize complex problems and clearly communicate critical issues and actionable opportunities

·        Strong critical thinking and ability to leverage research to build strategies

·        Experience with agile project management and leading agile teams in some agile structure

 

Desired Background:

·        Bachelor degree

·        10 years work experience

·        Prior experience in business intelligence, technology, continuous improvement or operational role highly desirable

·        5 years of managing teams or large, cross functional projects with a strong track record of delivery

·        Experience with Lean, Agile and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
