Overview:

The Recruiting Specialist, Stores Organization is responsible to deliver high caliber candidates to our Stores organization.   This Recruiting Specialist will work to deliver a slate of high caliber and diverse talent while building talent pipelines for future needs.  This role supports all aspects of the professional recruiting function including recruitment networking events, industry/competitor research, and more.  This position works in partnership with employment brand marketing to ensure strategic decisions will target candidates in the most appealing, efficient and cost effective manner.  Some travel is required. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

This position is based in Cincinnati, OH. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Source and hire the best talent from the marketplace into Macy's Stores organization
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future job openings through participation in talent communities and key social media efforts.
  • Provide market intelligence, creative sourcing, screening, and evaluation of candidates with a concentration on diversity recruiting strategies
  • Develop a network in the marketplace through industry contacts, association memberships, community outreach, etc. to assist in the recruitment of qualified candidates.
  • Ensure exceptional candidate experience
  • Become an expert in the usage of recruitment tools
  • Maintain a consistent, credible presence within social media and community outreach
  • Ensures all recruiting activities consistent with organization's policies and standards.
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

 Qualifications:


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required.
  • Recruitment and Sourcing experience required; 2 years of prior recruiting experience strongly preferred. 
  • Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.  
  • Additional Human Resources experience strongly preferred.

 Communication Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills

  • Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands

  • This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.
  • May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills

  • Organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast paced, high pressure environment. 
  • Strong team player and collaborator. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. 
  • Working knowledge of ATS and/or CRM would be considered an asset.

Work Hours

  • 20% travel required.  Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
