Area Retail Sales Manager

Is it your calling to connect people’s lives via technology?  Like to have fun at work, create dynamic, engaging culture and develop top sales teams to higher performance?  Join our AT&T family where innovation, collaboration, customer service and exciting entertainment products all come together!  You’ll be leading a team of AT&T Store Managers across Iowa to provide wireless and entertainment solutions to customers.  Area Retail Store Managers lead Store Managers to exceed sales targets, earn top customer service ratings, develop teams, and innovate to sell TV and Mobility solutions to customers.  Position is also responsible for generating store profitability, growing market share, local marketing strategies, and for creation, implementation and analysis of sales strategies. 
 
Qualified candidates will have retail sales experience inspiring and engaging sales teams to grow market share through business and/or consumer sales in rapid pace environments. Strategic thinkers that champion change will thrive in this sales-centric environment.
 
Additional/Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead sales teams in multiple retail stores to meet and/or exceed area sales objectives, including active hiring, coaching, and development of employees.
  • Spend at least 75% of your time visiting retail locations (scheduled and unscheduled) to assure optimal store performance and exceptional customer service is provided.
  • Provide continual feedback to personnel on personal and store performance.
  • Ensure attainment of sales goals.
  • Analyze business reports and formulate action plans to improve store performance.
  • Plan and maintain headcount for all stores.
  • Develop employees’ future career paths.
  • Ensure that all store employees have properly completed training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Perform operational audits of inventory levels, store collateral, code of business conduct, dress code adherence, etc.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure the communication, implementation and execution of marketing and merchandising programs.
  • Facilitate large meetings with such topics as training, compensation, product or customer experience and other promotional events.
 
 Qualifications:
  • Three years successful sales experience.
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees.
  • Ability to work flex hours, nights, weekend, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds during event set up.
  • Ability to operate personal computer, tablet, and smart phone as well as operate a television.
  • Cash/Receipts/Monetary Management
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's College Degree
  • Four or more years management experience in retail sales
  • Familiarity with TV and Wireless technology
  • Advanced communication skills
