ATT is searching for a candidate to support the PMO for the Global Public Sector Solutions business unit based in Vienna, VA. This role is a project management role, and requires experience in the commercial mobile wireless industry. The ideal candidate is someone with an engineering background, who has grown through their career into a project management/organizational management role. The position requires customer interface skills, and as such communication skills are of paramount importance and equally as important as technical and project management skills. Job Description:
Overall Purpose: Manages multiple technical government projects or a single large program exclusively to Federal Government clients. Typically manages these projects from initiation through delivery. The incumbents are responsible for meeting the project requirements by applying project management skills, tools, and techniques to manage the project scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk. The ideal candidate will have extensive Government experience in the telecommunications industry, strong organizational skills, engineering/technical background who has grown through their career into a project management/organizational management role and the ability to establish positive customer and internal team relationships. Experience in dealing with the engineering principles associated to designing, building and operating commercial wireless networks (LTE specifically). Strong ability to absorb and deliver highly technical requirements into an action plan delivered downward and upward within the organization. Ability to build relationships within a broader diverse, and geographically disperse, organization, and to quickly develop trust with internal and external customers. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Oversees all required personnel resources and schedules prepared by staff. Serves as primary customer contact. Should be comfortable in interacting with Government counterpart and be able to make presentation in the accomplishment of work duties. Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in business or engineering or equivalent experience. Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years with a mix of technical and project management/leadership roles. Supervisory: No.
