Technical Writer (Government)

AT&T - COLUMBIA, Maryland

AT&T is looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will work collaboratively with developers, system administrators, network engineers, quality/test engineers and product managers to make our products easier to use. Your expertise will be key to our success and socializing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience. Working with internal teams on product and documentation requirements and writing easy-to-understand user guides, standard operating procedures and developer guides. Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities. Create and maintain the information architecture

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, help and developer guides Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Work well individually or in a group setting

You have the ability to work under pressure and time constraints. Highly competent to match your level of experience and expertise as a Technical Writer. What we do makes a difference in today’s world. As such, you will have at least 5-7 years of experience evolving, developing, thorough concise documentation to ensure anyone from a developer to an end-user regardless of experience or expertise will be able to use YOUR end product with little oversight. The products YOU create will enable their success. You will interact will teammates from all aspects of the product life cycle from systems engineers to developers to testers to configuration management and operations. Our product truly contributes to the future and your role will be key to our success.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI; prefer DHS TS/SCI or Suitability

Desired: MS in related field
