Software Developer Intern (Government)

AT&T - MIDDLETOWN, New Jersey

We have openings for software development interns working in an agile development and engineering environment. The technology domains include cyber security, visualization (geospatial, graph/link analysis), and data analytics. The selected candidates will use an Scrum based framework to collaborate with peer software engineers, systems engineers, customers, and lifecycle tier support personnel.

• Educational and/or real world experience in software development or related major.
• Comfortable with programming in languages such as Javascript, Java, R, C/C and/or a scripting language such as shell or Python in a Linux environment. Solid working understanding of Linux is required.
• Significant progress towards the eventual award of a BS degree in Computer Science/Math or related technical discipline is preferred
• U.S. Citizen

Desired:
 A strong interest in one of the focus areas (cyber security, visualization, data analytics) with experience in one or more of the following areas: knowledge of relational DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL DBs (MongoDB, Accumulo), Javascript web application frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS), visualization technologies (D3, Leaflet, Graphviz), web containers (NodeJS, Tomcat), machine learning (R, Spark), RESTful API’s; knowledge of basic networking principles such as the IP protocol suite (TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc)
