Responsibilities include:
Assistant Security Officer (ASO) works for a government contractor with cleared personnel. This position assists in the development and implementation of all security procedures and reports directly to the FSO.
Assist FSO with overall security program
Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers
Process new employee security clearances
Track security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions to include Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), eQIP administration, and other security programs
Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel
Process necessary badge requests for government facilities
Processing outgoing visit requests and certifications
Review of required forms, process and screen of security forms (SF86, SF85) of various background investigations, and associated paperwork for accuracy
Security policy and direction consistent with the Company and Government regulations
Provide answers/analyses to address questions and concerns from management
Maintaining personnel security clearance and special access records for the organization.
Provide program, foreign travel and Counter Intelligence briefings to employees and consultants.
Provide document control support to the collateral and special access programs. Wrap, transport and track classified material to and from the facility.
This position requires the individual perform the duties of the Information System Security Officer. They will audit, preform software updates and complete trusted downloads.
This position also requires some overnight travel and after hours alarm response.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience of hands on program security support. Working knowledge of NISPOM requirements for a non-possessing facility needed. Requires strong working knowledge of JPAS, ACAVS, PSIP and e-QIP. Experience in processing SF-86, SF-312, Security Investigations and Periodic Re-investigations. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Must have, or be able to pass, STEPP/DSS required training
Required Clearance: Candidate must have a TS/SCI polygraph clearance
Desired: A degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline
