Major Job Elements: · Completing estimates for new projects and reviewing estimates prepared by others · Preparing written cabling service task order proposals · Experience working with a ticketing system/work flow software · Conduct client visits to provide technical input and operational support · Conduct job site visits on a daily basis · Perform QA inspections and safety audits (MSA's) in conjunction with job site visits · Develop written scopes of work (install package) and reviewing install packages prepared by subordinates · Work with team members to develop their technical skills · Support and maintain technical training and qualifications of the staff. · Establish and maintain work orders · Ensure that the program is meeting established SLA’s and customer satisfaction metrics · Oversee and support invoicing as established within the program · Plan, organize, and track all structured cabling projects and IMACD’s maintaining schedules, deliverables, safety and quality metrics · Conduct annual performance evaluations and immediately address any performance issues · Manage direct reports including project managers, site supervisors and support staff · Communicate corporate goals and directives · Establish proactive communications · Strong customer service skills to include strong communication skills both written and verbal · Experience with estimating projects and proposal presentations · Experience and skill to work successfully with employees of other organizations to meet customer expectations, program standards |
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: The Cabling Operations Manager shall have nineteen (19) years of experience that can be a combination of education and work experience. A master’s degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience and an associate’s degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience. The degree must be in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. All program or project management experience must be of similar scope, type, and complexity. Shall have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience. Familiar with Microsoft applications, Internet, P&L tracking reports, ability to estimate scheduling of material and man hours. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Must be able to effectively develop a detailed Statement of Work and estimates.
