The Senior Design Engineer will support the Air-to-Ground team in providing network services to the Senior Leaders Communication’s Systems. Task will be in the areas of RF research, designs, development, evaluation of new, advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements into final product design and prototyping for projects of highest complexity. A deep knowledge of protocols, signaling, standards, and features of advanced wireless technologies (e.g. 4G LTE) is a must.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with RF, network, hardware, and software developers and test engineers through all phases of product development to deliver new features and product designs. Work closely with the System Architect to ensure high level designs flow through to individual systems in ways that promote long term network scalability and sustainability. Interface with specialized engineers to ensure seamless integration of technologies across multiple disciplines. Design new and evolve existing network products through design or feature enhancements and performance improvements. Research and designing of a customized wireless system solution based on software-defined radio (SDR) platforms. Evaluate customer use cases and contribute to innovative solutions. Participate in Agile/Scrum iterative design and development processes.
