Lead System Design Engineer (Government)

AT&T - ALEXANDRIA, Virginia

Senior-level Developer to support government customer applying expertise in software development, and systems engineering as a Senior Systems Analyst and Programmer for OSD/CAPE's Joint Data Support (JDS).

S/he will be involved in analysis, design, and implantation of integrated data management strategies and be required to define, develop, implement, and maintain integrated architectures to source a range of data requirements in support of our government customers. Particular expertise is desired in supporting Defense related programs and in Cross-Domain Support requiring integrated technical solutions and data management strategies for multiple Services (i.e. Navy, Marine Corp, Air Force, Army and Coast Guard.

• Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years (7 preferred) of demonstrated experience in management/data management of Department of Defense-related programs spanning Forces, Units, Equipment and/or Infrastructure domains (highly preferred).
• Must be well versed and experienced across a range of programming and database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS Access, XML, JAVA, JavaScript, Python.-Ability to work with Military Service data and subject matter experts across a range of Service-specific data domains in support of an integrated data environment (highly desired).
• Must have experience in analysis, design, specification, documentation, implementation and support of software solutions.
• Familiarity with data and data support requirements supporting Department of Defense programs and Service-specific initiatives (highly desired).
• Must be able to write clear code and document unclear code.
• The successful candidate must be a team player, demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, and possess strong analytic and technical skills.
• Must be innovative, and have demonstrated capability to develop and evolve effective, efficient industry standard solutions around emergent data management/customer demands.
• The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, process-oriented and have a strong work ethic.
