Understand Target’s digital strategy and work with business and operations teams to develop key analytics and tracking/reporting mechanisms
Utilize multiple data sources (eg consumer, category, competitive, external/internal search) to analyze key & trending retail assortment themes in order to influence digital assortment acquisition strategies
Collect and analyze data, research competitors and identify trends in order to develop recommendations for best-in-class experiences to drive digital traffic and conversion
Develop deep understanding of how category level assortment, taxonomy, and content influence search engine rankings
Create detailed business plans, including assortment recommendations, to improve internal and external search ranking results
Work cross-functionally with site taxonomy, internal search, SEO & SEM teams to advocate for category specific needs to drive search traffic
Requirements
3-5 years of proven SEM experience with strong research and analytical skills; retail experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field
Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
Experience with website analytics tools
Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to peers and stake holders
Ability to break down multiple data sources to draw conclusions and provide recommendations
Ability to work across vast amounts of data from different data sources
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt project plans and tasks to changes
