- Guide technical design activities to ensure design intent is clear and infrastructure impact understood
- Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents
- Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability
- Collaborate with team to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes
- Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms, applications and infrastructure services
- Work with IT management and architects to ensure systems are in line with overall IT policies and standards
- Design, develop and unit test software or implement and test infrastructure components that meet functional and non-functional activities
- Coordinate the diagnoses, isolation and de-bugging of software and hardware problems and perform problem resolution
- Ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Drive best practices for managing solutions in a service based model
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 7-9 years total work experience
- Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
- Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise
- Experience managing network security devices or data center networking functions in a hosted environment
- Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
- Preferred to have experience or aptitude with software defined networking (SDN) and/or infrastructure as code

· Experience with network monitoring at a large enterprise scale across multiple open source and vendor based solutions.

· Expert with network monitoring technologies such as SNMP, NetFlow, IPSLA, Packet Aggregation and Wireshark

· Preferred to have experience with software development and DevOps skills such at Git, Drone, Python, Ruby and Linux
