AT&T is seeking hard working, self-motivated individual to fill a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist position. Monitor, track, and control the configuration of the Army UC Soft Client Subscription Service infrastructure including hardware, software, inter-connecting transport facilities and ancillary.
Activities include identification, audit, control, and status tracking and reporting. Maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB) to support resource allocation, capacity planning, networks/system modeling, and other planning activities. Maintain and monitor all applicable Configuration Items (CIs) to include library objects, instances, their attributes, and the relationships among the CIs to effectively deliver services to the customers. Update and audit CMDB data repositories and tools as appropriate. Data Collection and Validation - Interface with other network management and systems that support operations to collect and verify network/system data in support of the CM functions. Verify that updates to the CM data are completed within the appropriate amount of time as determined by the contract. Compile and maintain all CM documentation in support of operational CM functions. Provide CM related data and planning support to other network management functions and operational support systems. Prepare reports using Microsoft, Oracle, and other products as required.
Conducts configuration management (CM) planning and describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits

Identifies and maintains the original and subsequent configuration versions of requirements documentation, design documentation, and network/software/other related documentation
Manages configuration change control and regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related hardware and software

Contributes substantive content for maintaining and developing the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration
Has an in-depth understanding of the concepts of defining hardware and software configuration processes and procedures

With no guidance, define, document, and maintain the CCB, including roles and responsibilities of CCB members
With no guidance, defines hardware and software configuration processes and procedures, version control processes, policies, and procedures to ensure they are followed on hardware and software development projects
Utilizes CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items, Project Control List, CM Log, Configuration Baselines, Baseline Releases, and the CM Repository
Minimum 3 years of experience in Configuration Management
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university
Knowledge of both IP and Transport networked equipment.
Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAT Level I Certification
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills.
