Host–Based Security System Cybersecurity Administrator (Government)

Monitor, maintain, and secure multiple host–based security system (HBSS) environments. Configure operating system (OS) and data volumes and file server integration across platforms for Windows and various Linux variants. Install, configure, and troubleshoot common software running on Linux, including Apache, Tomcat, Subversion, Yum Repository, iptables, Oracle, HBSS, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), and Kerberos. Leverage expertise to build servers from the ground up and script the lock down of Linux OSes, as mandated by DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs). Deploy McAfee Agent, Virus Scan Enterprise for Linux, HIPS, Policy Auditor, and DLP to servers and end user machines. Troubleshoot HBSS deployments in Windows and non–Windows environments.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with maintaining and administering HBSS operations in a mixed environment, including Linux and Windows. Knowledge of active IT system requirements and HBSS security. Experience with using McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) queries and reports to collect various deployment statistics. Knowledge of VM and SQL issues that conflict with the basic functionality of ePO.

Desired: Experience with TCP/IP protocols and telecommunications technology, virtual machines, and hypervisors is desired. BS in technical field (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Assurance).
