About the
Position:
The Senior
Director of Digital Marketing is an omni-channel leader responsible for
crafting an effective, holistic digital strategy, creating a compelling brand
story and driving measurable business results. The right individual will bring
a strong commerce mindset with an appreciation for the power of marketing to
drive revenue and contribute to business and brand growth.
Responsibilities:

Develops annual and seasonal marketing plans to acquire and inspire
customers, amplify Ann Taylor’s brand relevance and meet financial goals and
KPIs: Leads the strategic development of all digital channels, from conception
to execution and prioritizes & allocates investments according to a
thoughtful balance of brand goals and business requirements

Ensures messages and budgets are distributed across the right channels
and audiences to meet sales objectives
·
Works closely with Creative, Merchandising and Planning to create annual
and seasonal development, integration, and executional excellence across
customer touch points
·
Builds strong partnerships with marketing, merchants, planning, and
client experience to help develop communication strategies, gain alignment on
priorities and marketing programs and deliver compelling, executable programs
·
Ensures business objectives and KPI goals are met across all marketing channels:
media, performance marketing, email, affiliate and partner programs, social
media, etc
·
Establishes and tracks key brand and business performance metrics,
including but not limited to customer acquisition & retention, site
traffic, AOV & UPT, and email subscription, open rate, click through,
revenue, conversion, and unsubscribe rate
·
Develops and manage customer lifecycle strategy with careful thought
given to the various elements (i.e. awareness, consideration, trial,
acquisition, retention, lifetime value) and the balance and interaction of
contributing factors (i.e. personalization, attribution, segmentation, loyalty)
·
Ensures a consistent client experience and executional excellence across
all marketing touchpoints
·
Partners closely with the Head of Marketing to strategize initiatives,
propel brand positioning and attain all financial metrics and profitability
goals
·
Operates with a test and learn entrepreneurial mindset
·
Balances branding and ROI-generating activations. Implementing ideas that
profitably grow the business while advancing brand positioning and relevance
Requirements:
·
15 years experience including ecommerce/digital and marketing
·
Creative and innovative leader who enjoys generating, expanding upon and
nurturing ideas
·
Ability to articulate a clear 360 vision
·
Comprehensive knowledge of existing digital strategies and tools
including but not limited to SEM/SEO, display advertising, re-targeting,
affiliate marketing, email marketing and acquisition, and both organic &
paid social media
·
Data driven with knowledge across CRM, modeling and segmentation
approaches and resources
·
Knowledge of paid media marketplace including vendors, tools and
analytics as well as content marketing
·
Deep understanding of social and how best to leverage to drive growth
·
Demonstrable experience building strong team, vendor and cross
functional relationships
·
Comfortable, polished presentation skills
·
Highly resourceful and an exceptional problem solver
·
Nimble, flexible thinker with both strength of conviction and the
ability to see an issue from multiple angles and perspectives
·
Strong understanding of ecommerce design
·
Strong leadership abilities including a proven ability to lead a
proactive team and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution
to business objectives

Ability to develop and manage a budget effectively
