Program Marketing Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
 
  • Develop, implement, manage and measure the marketing plan for our core program brand names (Check, Scoop, US Food campaigns)
  • Create marketing plan to support and drive awareness and adoption of Scoop, Check and US Foods campaign brand presence.  Work with content and creative teams, as well as outside suppliers, to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Works closely with our product development team to understand upcoming new product innovation launches, Scoop themes and Scoop launches.
  • Participate on a cross-functional team to develop new product launch programs, analyze historical new product launches, and report on success rates.
  • Analyze operator trends and information, to help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth (including new item launch platforms)
  • Collaborate with internal research team to determine customer needs and improve our understanding of end-state consumption pain points, patterns and gaps
  • Meet with key field liaisons and customers to gauge strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats with our field sellers and customers.
  • Work with marketing, merchandising and sales to integrate messaging into ongoing programming/events to raise awareness and improve product knowledge and capabilities.
  • Works with communications and creative teams to create messaging targeted to the right audience and executed in right channels

QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education/Training
 
Bachelor degree required.  Preferably in marketing, communications, or related field. Masters/MBA preferred.
 
Related Experience/Requirements:
 
Minimum 5 years relevant experience with at least four years of brand marketing experience, in a top-notch/market-focused B2B environment. Knowledge of technology/digital products and/or background in foodservice preferred. Must be well versed in traditional marketing and branding processes, acumen and protocol. Must have been responsible for creating and executing full marketing campaign(s). In addition, the candidate should have a strong consumer insights background and have worked with research organizations; Strong communication skills and sound business acumen.
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
 
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.  B2B experience preferred.
 
Related Experience: Employment history with collaborative working relationships in a matrix environment preferred.  Attention to detail and ability to meet changing deadlines required.  Ability to multi-task and project management experience required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
