Overall Purpose: Responsible for advancing legislative and regulatory agenda of
the company, currently focusing in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Monitors
and analyzes policy and legislative issues related to the company’s interests,
and serves as an advocate and subject matter expert. Collaborates with and supports all business
units to advance and support specific business goals and objectives. Works with
municipalities to assist with network build and permitting. Serves as liaison
on local grants for the AT&T Foundation between organizations and local
communities and helps administer local grant programs. Works with Public
Affairs to organize community events with programs like It Can Wait, Digital You
and the Aspire mentoring program, to build relationships with policy makers and
community organizations. Contributes to the External Affairs team by developing
relationships with federal, state, and municipal elected officials and staff.
Education: Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Experience: Typically 5 years of experience in legislative policy, political
campaigns, community outreach or in related fields.
This is a DRIVING position, so a successful driving background check will be
required.
