Area Manager External Affairs - Indianapolis

* This position is located in Indianapolis, IN.  Relocation assistance is not available. 

Overall Purpose: Responsible for advancing legislative and regulatory agenda of the company, currently focusing in Indiana.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:  Monitors and analyzes policy and legislative issues related to the company’s interests, and serves as an advocate and subject matter expert.  Collaborates with and supports all business units to advance and support specific business goals and objectives.  Contributes to the External Affairs team by developing relationships with federal, state, and municipal elected officials and staff.  In addition to executive and legislative branch responsibilities, also responsible for municipal government relations support and for organizing community events to build relationships.  Serves as liaison on local grants for the AT&T Foundation between organizations and local communities and helps administer local grant programs. Exhibits a passion for technology and innovation in all facets of job responsibilities.

Education: Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 5 years of experience in legislative policy, political campaigns, or in related fields.

This is a DRIVING position, so a successful driving background check will be required.
