Leads continuous improvement activities for mechanical electrical plumbing (MEP) systems of building format and prototype development
Oversees the management of external prototype consultants to ensure corporate prototypes and special projects comply with all relevant federal, state, and local building codes (for example, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), International Building Code (IBC))
Provides overall direction
Reviews and advises senior Managers with respect to conceptual design of non-prototypical store projects (for example, multilevel, flex, takeover)
Supports Global Indirect Sourcing (GIS) department initiative to capitalize on global purchasing opportunities
Supports department financial goals
Qualifications:
5 years experience in retail or grocery building systems design.
5 years of supervisory experience.
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (MEP) Engineering and 10 years experience in engineering or related field OR 15 years experience in engineering or related field.
Licensed Professional Engineer or meets all minimum requirements for licensure as a Professional Engineer.
