Staff Software Engineer

Position Summary:

• Be involved & lead significant areas in the design of the next-generation platform that will meet the integration needs of a large Omni-channel experience for customers at Walmart scale.
• Build and enhance key components of the Bedrock Runtime engines to perform with high scale and availability.
• Build a rich set of transformation and orchestration primitives for use by Integration projects. Build self-service integration capabilities for external teams to effectively and quickly build functional integrations for varied end to end use cases.
• Design and build monitoring services, testing automation frameworks and debugging capabilities as appropriate to support high uptimes and availability requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3-8 years’ experience building scalable ecommerce or cloud based services or large systems with high uptimes.
• Solid hands on experience developing applications using J2EE technologies such as Servlet/JSP/Filters, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JMX, RMI, Java Web Services, or related skill.
• Experience with service oriented open source technologies: Apache Camel, Drools, REST, Web-Services
• Experience with web/app containers such as Web Logic, Web Sphere, Apache/Tomcat, Jboss or related skill
• Ability to write unit/integration test cases
• Experience with JSON, XML and XSLT technology
• Experience in Agile Methodology
• Experience with RDBMS, ORM
• Experience with NoSQL technologies desirable
