Senior Director, Executive Recruiting

Walmart - SAN BRUNO, CA

Position Summary:

Conducting research to map target companies and the right candidates for Walmart ecommerce

Creating robust search strategies that will identify and attract the best and brightest

Developing innovative ways to raise the bar on how Walmart recruits top talent

Calibrating candidates with hiring managers and senior leaders

Developing those prospects into candidates, engaging them and performing assessment/screening

Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group and Walmart ecommerce, as a whole, by providing education on relevant industries and talent pools/profiles

Building out talent networks and tapping knowledgeable industry sources to develop an on-going pool of candidates

Leading client update meetings on active searches

Conducting on-site interviews and participating in debriefs; performing 360 reference checks and presenting/negotiating employment offers on behalf of Walmart ecommerce

Providing strategic guidance and advice in a true partnership with executive leadership

Develop search strategies, conduct research, perform thorough assessments and present qualified candidates for critical executive searches

Qualifications:

To be successful, you will need to leverage lessons learned in executive recruiting either serving in an in-house executive search team for blue-chip, global firms, or as a hands-on Principal or Partner in a large executive search company or search boutique.

Research acumen and creativity

Superb communication skills; a compelling communicator able to engage the attention of busy, senior executives

Highly articulate, able to convey complex arguments and engage with senior level executives in a polished and professional manner

Combine tenacity with tact; know when to apply more pressure and when to give in

Self assured, not easily thrown, able to think on your feet; this individual may be called upon to work on highly confidential searches with very senior leaders

Outgoing: enjoy interacting with a variety of people

Inquisitive: a strong desire to learn

The ideal candidate needs exceptional research, executive sourcing and assessment skills, and a personality that can keep up with an entrepreneurial, fast-paced recruiting culture.

He/she will have a track record of superior client service, providing professional guidance and support to executives less familiar with the in-depth process of executive search.

He/she must also be organized and able to manage multiple searches and top level clients simultaneously.

Bachelor’s degree required.
