Full Stack Software Engineer

Position Summary:
As a Software Engineer (Full Stack) you are responsible for designing and implementing applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart customers and its next generation supply chain. On the Forecasting team we solve complex problems by leveraging machine learning and optimization of algorithms to deliver the retail sales forecasting process for Walmart eCommerce. Responsibilities include:
• Work with Engineers, Data Scientist and Product managers to develop interactive, user-friendly applications
• Create innovative interfaces, and API’s, that enable users to explore, analyze, and visualize large amounts of data to make informed and effective business decisions.
• Work on analytical, data-driven applications combining advanced client side skills while being knowledgeable on backend/server side of applications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong JavaScript skills (Backbone, React, Angular, or any modern framework knowledge is desired)
• Proficient in a major programming language like Java, Ruby on Rails, C++, Python, etc.
• Experience writing and reviewing queries for SQL data stores
• Strong aptitude for writing efficient code and delighting users with best in class UX
• Proficient in HTTP, web services and Restful API’s
