Senior Systems Engineer-ISD

Position Summary:
This Senior System Engineer position requires in-depth knowledge and at least 7+ years of Microsoft-based messaging infrastructure design and implementation, messaging and directory services best-practices and advanced knowledge of systems engineering, operations and management. An in-depth level of experience planning, documenting, installing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting high-availability Exchange Server environments. Individual must have an understanding of Active Directory for Windows Server, a wide range of wireless messaging technologies and advanced knowledge of messaging security and hygiene. Additional knowledge in SharePoint, Instant Messaging, Email Archiving and Collaboration technologies, planning and deployment of Office 365 Hybrid environment.
This individual will be responsible for support and administration of Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint environments both on premise and in O365, Office 2016 deployments, Jabber, ProofPoint, BOX, and SLACK and all associated tasks, including user management, permissions and coordination of client and server support issues as well as documentation of the architecture and support documents.
Technology Requirements
Deep knowledge, direct experience, and/or ownership of:
• Server Applications: Exchange 2010+ (On prem-O365), SharePoint 2010+ (On prem-O365), Lync, Jabber, Skype, BOX, SLACK, SQL, AD (DirSync)
• Windows Server: 2008+, Virtualization, AD, Group Policy, DHCP, File Server, PowerShell.
• Client Operating systems: Windows 7+, Apple, Android
• Networking: Internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, IPv4, VLANs, NAT, Firewalls, DHCP, DNS.
• Cloud SAAS: Office 365, Azure, ProofPoint, BOX, SLACK
• Client Software: Microsoft Office 2010+
• Server/Storage Hardware : NetApp, HP, EMC storage - Dell, HP Windows Servers, RAID
• Backup/Recovery/DR: NetApp, NetBackup, TSM, Site Failover expertise.
• Micellaneous: PING, TMG, Airwatch, Rights Management, Enterprise Vault, PowerShell scripting and automation techniques in a Windows environment, Experience working with specialists from other disciplines such as Designers and Developers
