Position Summary:
Responsibilities
JLL Mid-Atlantic, with six offices in in downtown DC, Tyson’s Corner, VA, Baltimore, Richmond and Hampton Roads, is currently seeking college students to join our team for a summer internship. The interns will learn the industry through the lens of JLL’s substantial market share and client interaction throughout the region. As part of the internship, JLL will provide learning experiences throughout the organization so that each intern truly understands the commercial real estate experience and universe following this experience. From an everyday perspective, the interns will contribute to best-in-class research, assist with day-to-day responsibilities, contribute to business development initiatives, and carry out tasks for both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly-organized, able to work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, demonstrate clear communication skills, and be motivated to learn – with a deep passion for and interest in Commercial Real Estate as a career. Interns are placed in the following business units: Tenant Representation, Agency Leasing, Capital Markets, Property Management, Research and Marketing.
Essential functions
- Contribute to special projects in support of business development and leasing initiatives
- Assist with the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
- Provide ongoing support with current deals - including market surveys, proposal reviews and summaries, lease reviews, financial analysis
- Conduct research and contribute to property, tenant and market analysis / research projects that identify JLL as a thought leader and advisor to our clients
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate level students in their junior or senior year with a major or concentration in finance, real estate or a strong desire to work in the commercial real estate industry
- Rising juniors and seniors preferred
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and In-Design
- Corporate and business experience
- Innovation and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent client service mindset and attitude
