Position Summary:
Facilities Maintenance Technician
The Ideal candidate has a valid Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) or General Journeyman/Inside Wireman electrical license. Candidate must enjoy working as part of a team, within a structured environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, planning and documentation.
Job duties will include:
- Using computer programs to track work, manage facilities equipment, order parts and coordinate maintenance
- Work includes lighting maintenance (troubleshooting and replacing ballasts and lighting control panels)
- HVAC (troubleshooting and replacing fan motors)
- Doing routine PMs on VFDs and other controls
- Some work on boilers, chillers and other equipment
- Special projects occasionally come up, including scheduled maintenance shutdowns
- Once up to speed, all facilities maintenance techs take turns being on call
Knowledge, skills and licenses/certifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus
- Basic computer literacy required; ability to use Microsoft programs like Outlook, Word and Excel is a plus; the job requires using other proprietary or specialized programs (on-the-job training provided).
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and must not be afraid of or unhappy about filling out paperwork and tracking information
- Valid Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) or General Journeyman/Inside Wireman electrical license
This is a full-time, regular position, including paid time off (144 hours/year), 10 paid holidays per year, health insurance and 401k plan.
