Position Summary:
Facilities HVAC Technician
The Ideal candidate has a valid Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) in addition to having a Universal Refrigerant license. Candidate must enjoy working as part of a team, within a structured environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, planning and documentation.
Job duties will include using computer programs to track work, manage facilities equipment, order parts and coordinate maintenance. Monitor the operation and make pre-emptive adjustments on refrigeration equipment, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, hot water systems; chilled water; boilers; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment (any infrastructure systems and equipment that may be applicable).
Special projects occasionally come up, including scheduled maintenance shutdowns. Once up to speed, all facilities maintenance techs take turns being on call (average 1 week out of 12).
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus. Basic computer literacy required; ability to use Microsoft programs like Outlook, Word and Excel is a plus; the job requires using other proprietary or specialized programs (on-the-job training provided). Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and must not be afraid of or unhappy about filling out paperwork and tracking information.
This is a full-time, regular position, including paid time off (144 hours/year), 10 paid holidays per year, health insurance and 401k plan.
